Rick Trolsen, Founder (trombone)
Rick arrived in New Orleans in 1982, after attending Berklee College of Music. He quickly fell into good company and was adopted as the first-call sideman in town. From 1991 to 1998 he led the jazz/rock group “Neslort” as a vehicle for his original compositions. A perennial favorite for 3 consecutive years at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Neslort has featured some of the finest musicians in town and has released 2 CDs. (more…)
Kyle Cripps (saxophone)
A native of the tri-state area and a recent transplant to the storied New Orleans music scene, multi-instrumentalist and composer Kyle Cripps graduated Summa Cum Laude from Temple University’s Esther Boyer College of Music and is currently studying for his Master’s Degree at the University of New Orleans as a recipient of the prestigious Basin Street Scholarship, a full-tuition, room, and board award. Tim Robertson (guitar)
Tim Robertson is a guitarist, composer, arranger, performer, and teacher located in New Orleans and working in a broad variety of idioms—from arena rock to symphonic concert, Bourbon Street cover bands to experimental studio work. After graduating Duke University with a music degree, he took in hand the guitar and became one of New Orleans’ most respected commercial players. (more…)
Larry Sieberth (keys)
Pianist, composer, producer Lawrence “Larry” Sieberth is at home in any musical setting. A fluent jazz artist and synthesizer wizard, Lawrence integrates the many facets of music and performance. His own neo-bop improvisations and experimental diversions combine with his classical interest, providing an extensive musical vocabulary for his compositions for television, film and stage. (more…)
Matt Perrine (bass)
Matt Perrine is one of New Orleans’ most in-demand musicians on tuba and acoustic and electric basses. He has recorded with platinum-selling alternative rock group Better Than Ezra, Royal Fingerbowl, Ed Peterson, Johnny Vidacovich and Betty Shirley, and hasplayed with Joey Calderazzo and Ellis Marsalis. As part of the band Bonerama, Matt toured and recorded several albums. (more…)
Boyanna Trayanova (drums)
Boyanna Trayanova’s versatile and high-powered drumming has made her a key player on the New Orleans music scene. One of the region’s few female drummers, Boyanna has been attracting attention for her monster chops and funky, in-the-pocket feel. (more…)
